NEWS: Sexy queen Lee Hyori's comeback has been attracting a lot of attention lately, especially since she will have to go up against the reigning girl groups and idol singers.
Hyori will release her fourth album near the end of February. Originally, she planned to release it earlier in the year, but postponed the release date to ensure the album's quality.
Ever since her successful third album "It's Hyorish" in July 2008, Hyori declined to appear in variety shows other than SBS Family Outing. Last month, FO's last episode was recorded, which gave her more time to work on her album.
Not only her title song, but the entire album will have songs by new, but strong composers, instead of the usual famous few. Her third album's hit title song U-Go-Girl was composed by E-tribe, who were considered new back then. This time she will also use a song with a different style. U-Go-Girl showed Hyori's sexiness, and its rhythm and beat were different from past songs. The fourth album's title song will also be different from U-Go-Girl. Hyori is very satisfied with its freshness and new elements it will bring to the music world.
The participants in this album are very elaborate as well. From hip-hip group LeeSsang's Gary to 4minute's Kim Jiyoon and After School's Becka, Hyori invited these strong rappers to take part in her newest album.
Other solo comebacks are also highly anticipated. This summer, Son Dambi will also release a new album, waging war against Hyori.
Last year, the ballad and solo singers were on the low-down, and girl groups and idol singers rose in popularity.
However, this year starts off with Kim Jong Kook and 2AM's well-received songs, which pulled down the popularity of girl groups. Female solo singers' comebacks will most likely be more of an impact.
